I have always been interested in art and design, but my passion became a full time career after I attended a course in clay sculpture with life models at the local Arts Institute.
These days, my biggest inspirations are pop art, modern art and surrealism and I like to create sculptures that touch and stretch the imagination and the senses, are whimsical and amusing and evoke curiosity.
Using stone as my main material, I am fascinated with the way it can be used to create bold, clean lines, and I particularly enjoy working with stone to create the illusion of fold and flow.
I also enjoy experimenting with different surface textures and patinations as well as mixing contrasting materials with stone to create unique pieces that connect with all of the senses.
Every piece I sculpt has its own story, which is why all my creations are lovingly hand carved and hand finished and truly one-of-a-kind sculptures.
